RIP Brenda Leyland TROLLED & Hounded to Death by the PRO McCann Machine

I am not going to use the tragic death of a woman and Mother to propagate further my opinions and views on the Madeleine McCann case.

Those views are well established and in the public domain for anyone who so cares to read them. 

Presumably, given that Carole Malone hasn’t yet done a piece about me in her servile, insidious column or Martin Brunt, (a man whom I actually like, respect and admire), hasn’t yet knocked on my door to confront me about those views suggests to me that I haven’t committed the same offence that Brenda Leyland apparently did. 

She is the lady who was “outed” by Sky News and other media outlets and newspapers as one of the McCanns “Vile Trolls”.

 A lady whom, despite being reported as seemingly having made “death threats” on Twitter, has in fact, apparently never made any such threat to anyone.

The Internet is awash with people who don’t believe the McCann’s version of events surrounding what happened to their daughter, Madeleine. They’re not TROLLS. They’re just people with an opinion who have noticed the glaring contradictions between what is reported in the UK Press and what both the Portuguese and British POLICE opined and formulated.

Many of these people express their opinions with a distinct lack of articulation; devoid of much literary prowess.  Some, are unquestionably abusive, hurtful, insensitive and indeed, offensive.

That doesn’t make them illegal.

For whatever reason, Brenda Leyland was singled out to exemplify that faction of Social networking which continues to discuss and deliberate the McCann case differently from how it is so portrayed in the Press. Differently from how the McCann’s and their supporters want the case reported.

I did not know Brenda. I have never knowingly communicated with her in any manner. When Sky NEWS doorstepped her and she became news headlines elsewhere I did do some superficial research, including reviewing her tweets.

For the RECORD:- this lady NEVER tweeted anything that could be construed by ANYONE as a threat of violence to either the McCann's, their twins, or anyone ELSE for that matter.

Furthermore, (unlike previous high-profile prosecutions of people who have abused and threatened others on Twitter), given that the McCann's do not HAVE a Twitter presence, how can this lady possibly have trolled or abused them?

Amongst the expansive number of her tweets I have read, the worst, perhaps, was where she hoped the McCann's “suffered for the rest of their miserable lives”.  

 It was a foolish, foolhardy and deeply insensitive tweet to make, even if she did genuinely mean it....BUT........

She didn’t deserve to be exposed and identified, her name, address and personal details made publicly available.

She didn’t deserve to be labelled “evil”.

She didn’t deserve to be subjected to such threats and abuse by the myriad of McCann supporters whose cruel taunts and vilification by far exceeded anything she was reported to have allegedly done.

She didn’t deserve to be stigmatised and crucified by a baying, servile PRO McCann media and its supporters, hell bent on indoctrinating a British public as to their ideaology where the McCann case is concerned.

Most of all, she didn’t deserve to die....... alone and helpless...... in some soulless and anonymous little hotel room where she had fled; castigated by the accusatory Pro McCann machine.

Such heart and gut-wrenching, bitter, bitter irony that someone should so lose their LIFE after being hounded and trolled by a Media and PRESS hell bent on portraying her as someone who had hounded and trolled others.

My fervent HOPE and wish is that this tragedy will inspire others to do their OWN research, reviews and investigations into the available facts and evidence surrounding the McCann case, where they can then formulate their OWN opinions, rather than have them shaped and made for them by the mainstream Media.

I know Martin Brunt and I know he is a good man. We have never met but we follow each other on Twitter and I have worked on several investigative projects that he has orchestrated. I also know he will be devastated and hurt by this development.

I am not excusing his actions but it would be wrong to solely blame him for Brenda’s demise. Not least because Martin, as a STAFF reporter, is duty bound to follow the Editorial policy and procedure of his company, as are all TV news correspondents.

I do not reserve such charity, alas, for Daily Mirror columnist, Carole Malone. 

She described Brenda as a “cowardly bully”, “piece of work” and suggested “her own life is so lonely, so miserable, so poisoned that she wants others to suffer the same”, suggesting “she’s just a twisted, fecked up bitch who gets her kicks from hurting people”.

Well, maybe you’re partly right Carole. I’m going to suggest, at the end, she was very lonely and miserable indeed.

"I love you mum and I will miss you forever". That's the last Facebook post from Brenda's son, Ben.

 
I’m not, however, going to tell you what I think of you, Carole. That would merely be replicating the grievous and despicable offence I’m accusing you of.

Instead, I’ll leave it to one of Brenda’s alleged Tweets, suggesting and hoping that you “suffer for the rest of your miserable life".

RIP Brenda Leyland, wherever you may be.

Harriet Harman Defends CHILD Porn but Attacks Page 3!

The Right Honourable Harriet Harman QC MP is a rather curious creature.

The Deputy Leader of the opposition has recently been stepping up her campaign to dispense with Page 3 Models, as featured in a number of tabloid newspapers. She tells SKY News:

“I’m not saying that we should ban it, but I think that women in the 21st century who are going out to work, who are bringing up their children, who are playing a full role in public life, I think that the idea that women are sex objects to be posing in their knickers to be leered at by men in a national newspaper - I don’t think that that’s the right thing for women in the 21st century.”

Fair enough.

ALAS.

Contrast THAT statement with what she has to say about images of CHILDREN portrayed as "sex objects" for the gratification of paedophiles:

“A pornographic photo or film of a child should not be considered indecent unless it could be shown that the subject had suffered”........and..... “childhood sexual experiences, willingly engaged in, with an adult result in no identifiable damage”.


She also stated that prosecutors should have to prove harm rather than paedophiles having to justify themselves.

She also suggested that the age of consent be LOWERED to 14, and that INCEST be decriminalised.

These astonishing motions and statements were made in Legal documents, signed by Harman, whilst legal officer for the NCCL, (National Council for Civil Liberties, now known as Liberty), in 1978 and formed part of an official response to the then Governments’ proposals to tighten the laws on child pornography by banning indecent images of under-16s.

Associate GROUPS of the NCCL were the renowned Paedophile Information Exchange and the Paedophile Action for Liberation.

Miss Harman has never responded to journalists requests for statements about this rather embarrassing period in her illustrious career. A spokesperson once tried to distance Harman from her involvement with NCCL, insisting that the Paedophile Information Exchange was no longer part of the NCCL when she worked there.

Press reports from the 1980’s clearly refute this statement however, showing that PIE was, indeed, still an associate group.

In 2009, the then Shadow Children’s Minister, Tim Loughton, said:

“Clearly there is a serious conflict of interest with the committees she sits on, who might want urgently to clarify her position on the exploitation of children for the sexual gratification of adults........... It’s a shame that Miss Harman’s zeal for positive discrimination and all things politically correct among adults does not extend to the exploitation of children. Any child who is used for the sexual gratification of adults counts as an abused child and needs protecting.”

Fortunately, for Harriet, the furore appears to have somewhat died down these days.

It’s only when she makes a stride to make, as how the ‘SUN’ describes, a “right tit of herself”, (geddit!!??), that her past keeps regurgitating to haunt her.

"They hate equality agenda which most of them, as men, feel threatened by".

Deputy Labour Leader Harriet Harman tweeting today about her critics in the Press, in response to Huffington Post's Political Editor, Mehdi Hasan who fawned :

"Don't know why (Harriet) has so many haters and mockers in the press. She is a very articulate & convincing media performer"

Actually, Harriet, at the risk of seeming to want to derogate your 'Sisterhood' rant,  maybe it’s because some of them abhor CHILD pornography and are very suspicious of those who advocate it.

People like yourself, who once asserted that sexually explicit photographs or films of children should be LEGAL unless there was “evidence that the subject had been harmed”.

People who don’t forget that, alongside Patricia Hewitt, you held a very senior position at the National Council for Civil Liberties, (now known as Liberty), a group whose affiliates were the odious and despicable Paedophile Information Exchange and Paedophile Action for Liberation.
Groups whose members argued openly for the abolition of the age of consent, insisting it should be lowered to 14, as well as decriminalising INCEST.


Groups for whom, as the ‘umbrella’ body, the NCCL, YOU, as an acting LEGAL officer, signed the official response to the Government’s proposed Protection of Children Bill, (designed to tighten the laws on child pornography by banning indecent images of under-16), describing the proposed laws as:-

(could lead to) “damaging and absurd prosecutions” and “increase censorship”.

People who recall that you suggested that a “pornographic photo or film of a child should not be considered indecent unless it could be shown that the subject had suffered, and that prosecutors would have to prove harm rather than defendants having to justify themselves”.

People who remember your letter as suggesting that “Our amendment places the onus of proof on the prosecution to show that the child was actually harmed.”

People who, in response to those who query and express astonishment as to how predatory Paedophiles like Jimmy Savile and OTHERS were allowed to prosper for so long, might point to the activities of the afore-mentioned groups, and those who FOUGHT for them, as the possible source of an answer. 

So you’ll have to forgive me, Harriet, if I remain one of your critics.

NOT as a man who hates “Equality Agenda” due to the fact that, as a man, I feel threatened by it.

But as a man who despises hypocritical opportunists; ‘FEMINISTS’, whose professions for Political Correctness,  EQUALITY and the rights of others seemingly precludes the exploitation of children for the sexual gratification of paedophiles.......

Given my musings of yesterday on the BBC Child abuse allegations, my blog attempt at what I passingly contrived to be SATIRE, I feel a little compelled to pen something of a less humorous note on the whole debacle.

I don’t know what really happened at Haut de la Garenne Children’s home in Jersey; I wasn’t there.

I’m equally ignorant of the full facts relating to the allegations surrounding in Bryn Estyn in Wales, for the same reason.

Likewise, the countless OTHER Children’s homes in the UK which are said to have been the location of horrific sexual, physical and mental abuse.

I have no idea if the allegations surrounding an inordinate number of Senior Politicians and Lords of ALL parties, (most of which have been circulating on the Internet for YEARS), are true, either.

All I DO know, for certain, is that in every single case; in every single ‘investigation’, ‘review’ or’ ‘inquiry’, the full and true facts are invariably clouded in obfuscation and subterfuge.

Seemingly, deliberately so.

Documents shredded, photographs destroyed.

Accusers bullied, ignored or ridiculed.

Senior Politicians and Establishment figures implicated.

Police collusion with alleged abusers.

Sometime the Police, THEMSELVES, the alleged abusers.

Today, on the day that Conservative Party member David Mellor declared on National Television that whistle blowing Child abuse victim Steven Messham is a “WEIRDO”; ( a tad rich coming from a philandering foot-fetishist who copulated with a kiss-and-tell soft-porn actress whilst wearing a full Chelsea football strip, but I digress); in a day dominated with headlines relating to BBC failings and resignations, you could be forgiven for missing a story in the INDEPENDENT on Sunday Newspaper, relating to an astonishing COVER-UP.

Entitled ‘The JILLINGS Report: How the truth about North Wales child abuse scandal was suppressed’, this in-depth and revealing report detailed how the systematic abuse of young children was effectively OBSCURED by the Authorities for years.

It details the withholding of boxes and boxes of key evidence and information from the eventual Waterhouse enquiry; the ordering of the DESTRUCTION of ALL copies of the original investigation and reports;  the non-co-operation of Senior Police in granting access to information databases. 

More perturbing, the investigation unearthed the obscuring of ANOTHER, unpublished, internal Council report that suggested:

"There were numerous claims and suggestions that senior public figures including the police and political figures might have been involved in the abuse of young people”.

It would be a huge mistake to think that the North Wales CHILD abuse travesty is unique. 

JERSEY has seen pretty much the same thing. Widespread allegations of abuse, committed by senior public and Establishment figures, all obscured or obliterated entirely in whitewashes, masquerading as reports or enquiries.

It remains to be seen whether or not David Cameron continues with his plans to reopen investigations into the North Wales and other, child abuse scandals. 

He originally professed his intention to do so after the revelations of Steven Messham, a former child abuse victim from Bryn Estyn, which were subsequently made to BBC’s ‘NEWSNIGHT’, and which highlighted his apparent claim that he was abused by a senior figure in the Conservative Party during the Premiership of Margaret Thatcher.

It may well be that Mr. Messham was genuinely confused or mistaken when he was alleged to have named Lord McAlpine as one of his abusers. 

It may also very well be, (as he himself allegedly purports), that it was the POLICE who identified McAlpine to him in photographs; images depicting the sexual abuse of young children.  

Given that those photographs are now reported to have been DESTROYED, no-one is really in a position to verify or negate the information.

At the risk of sounding superfluous, child abuse is the vilest, most despicable, depraved and heinous crime that Man can commit; the defiling and degrading of the truly innocent of our species.

We can only hope and maybe PRAY that those who perpetuate and propagate such atrocities, will one day be met with the Justice they deserve.

The SECOND, vilest crime, in MY opinion is the COVERING UP of this evil. 

If Cameron now elects NOT to pursue the investigations, the derogation and CHARACTER assassination made today by  Mellor and some sections of the PRESS, of Mr. Messham, will unequivocally contribute to that ongoing whitewash and cover-up.

We cannot be responsible for the repellent acts of those that abuse children.

But we CAN make the difference in striving to ensure that their actions do not go unpunished.
