Some helpful notes and guidance from the ‘Official’ PRO McCann's consortium of websites and forums…

If you’re not quite sure about certain aspects of the McCann case, or you have a different opinion to that propagated in the mainstream Media, or perhaps you just feel some things don't quite add up, then…….

..........you're an evil, despicable, perverted, thoughtless, inconsiderate, nasty, sick & twisted HATER who wishes Madeleine McCann dead and doesn't want her ever to be found and is clearly hell bent on causing even more heartache, anguish, pain and grief to her distraught and long suffering parents who are having to battle on a daily basis with the devastating and incalculable agony caused by the loss of their daughter who was obviously and inarguably abducted in the night, (whilst their parents sat just a few feet away), by a predatory paedophile who would  never have gotten away with it were it not for those bungling, useless, wine-swilling, sardine-munching Porto plod who trampled all over the evidence and were more interested in trying to FRAME the grief- stricken parents than actually catch the real culprit, causing them to have to have to suffer the ignominy and heart-break of making  pleas for help and endure fund-raising ventures and libel cases in order to accrue the estimated SEVERAL Million pounds thus far raised in order to do the job Policia Judiciaria didn’t, which was to catch the  swarthy gypsy, (or similar type), of which there are a great many in the backwards , fascist dictatorship known as Portugal where the  people couldn’t even be bothered to help look for the missing girl and who will never be found now anyway because he’s probably dead and it’s only a question of time before Scotland Yard find his death-bed confession………….

Madeleine McCann and that Scotland Yard review / Investigation in full.......

In case you’ve missed the news, the Ace detectives are closing in.

They’re working through their “list of suspects”, about to interview “many persons of interest”; are actively “probing new leads” and, apparently, the “hunt is making good progress”.

Thus far, Scotland Yard has stopped short of stating that Madeleine McCann will be home for Christmas, as was once famously decreed on television by the EARLIER hired help, METODO 3, but there's time yet.

That ridiculous assertion aside, there’s little to separate the Yard’s apparent lines of inquiry from the other, concocted avenues of investigation, as pursued by the seemingly innumerable private detective agencies placed in the employ of the parents of the most famous missing child of all time.

In case you’ve forgotten, METODO 3 were the Spanish Detective Agency drafted in by the McCanns to usurp the Polícia Judiciária, the official investigators into the case of missing Madeleine, once the Portuguese authorities started turning their attention to the McCann’s themselves.

Funded by many hundreds of thousands of pounds from kind donors to the ‘Looking for Madeleine’ Fund, (along with other resources), this small time Spanish debt collection agency came up with some BIG time fables:-

From the swarthy vagabonds of Morocco, to the foothills of African drug hideouts; from Arab paedophiles to the bustling streets of Bosnia; our intrepid heroes were, seemingly, hot on the trails of Madeleine’s “abductors”, flying from one destination to the next.

Once it transpired, however, that the several hundred thousand pounds lavished on the company had returned, precisely NOTHING, and critics in the press were starting to question their veracity, their services were dispensed with, or at least limited, from around mid 2008.

The Spanish hotshots were last heard of being uncomfortably embroiled in illegal Political espionage, phone tapping allegations, drug smuggling and money laundering.

Not to be deterred by one charlatan, however, the McCann’s then turned to what was described as an un-named “secret” AMERICAN detective agency, composed of, (according to the Telegraph), "ex- FBI and CIA agents who were offered a contract of £500,000”.

“These really are the big boys." A ‘friend’ of Kate McCann was quoted as saying.

This particular company, eventually metamorphosing into and revealed to be Oakley International, was headed by Kevin Halligen, a man now enjoying notoriety for being imprisoned for fraud on a huge, multi-million Dollar scale.

Big boys, indeed!

There has, in total, been an estimated SIX firms of private detectives/agencies/mercenaries, etc involved in the search for Madeleine.

It has been alleged that several of them were involved in intimidating witnesses or paying for individuals to make false “sightings”; i.e.; to allege that they had seen the little girl or someone closely resembling her at some specified location or another.

Of course, at present, those allegations cannot be categorically proven.

What CAN be proven, however, is that amongst the very many stories, sightings and escapades that these detective agencies profess to have been involved in, not ONE of them has a single iota of credibility or evidence to substantiate them. 

Stories that generated a great many column inches and broadcast news reports in the Media.

Stories of Madeleine being abducted by Middle Eastern perverts.... Moroccan Gangsters...Saudi Arabian paedophile rings....Bosnian mobsters......Robert Murat look-alikes......African ‘steal-to-order’ child-nappers......dead or dying Sex offenders and nefarious Gypsies.......not to mention the innumerable “absolute certain” sightings in Belgium, Malta, Spain, France, Britain, Brazil, the Netherlands, New Zealand and India; ALL linked by a single, inarguable factor:-

Not ONE of them has a single shred of tangible evidence to support them.

But NOW, seemingly, that is all about to change.

For NOW, after investigations conducted by the Portuguese Police, (along with the Leicestershire Police), and the detective agencies listed above, the McCann’s have procured the services of the Metropolitan Police’s infamous SCOTLAND YARD, surely THE vanguard of investigative agencies everywhere.

Quite how the Met became embroiled in this is a story all on its own, of course.

Ostensibly commissioned to undertake a “review of the case so far" by Premier David Cameron, as an act of kindness to the McCann’s, (an act which is without precedent whatsoever in the annals of Police or political history); this actually only came about when pressure was exerted by the Rupert MURDOCH press, via correspondences between former News International Chief executive Rebekah Brooks, Cameron and Home Secretary Theresa May where Brook allegedly THREATENED, (or “persuaded”, as Brooks herself confessed to the Leveson report), to ensure that MAY and others in the Cabinet got bad front-page Press unless the review was ordered:-

Brooks: "I was certainly part of a strategy to launch a campaign in order to get a review for the McCanns," Brooks says, disputing that it was a "threat".

Leveson: "Give me another word for it, would you?"

Brooks: "Persuade?"

Whoever, however or whatever, the astonishing fact remains that the McCann’s have managed to enlist the services of what has, for many years, been widely regarded as one of the finest Police forces in the world after the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom was “persuaded” to order them to undertake an “investigative review” of their case.

As I type this, the current state of affairs is this:-

Operation Grange, as Scotland Yard’s undertaking is called, is moving from a “review” inquiry to an “investigative” inquiry, headed by Detective Chief Inspector Andy Redwood of Scotland Yard’s Homicide and Serious Command.

The McCann’s themselves are said to be “satisfied”, “grateful” and “delighted” for the Met’s involvement, and to “warmly welcome it”, presumably not least for the fact that Redwood states he rejected the "conspiracy theories" about the parents' involvement and was focusing on "a criminal act by a stranger."

Redwood has also been quoted as saying
“We continue to believe there is a possibility that Madeleine is alive”.

How this investigation will unfold can only remain to be seen.

For the record, and not for the FIRST time, I want to put my position on this case in print:-

I have NO idea what happened to Madeleine McCann in Praia da Luz in May 2007.

I wasn’t there.

Furthermore, the testimonies of those that WERE there widely contradict each other, as a consequence of which it is impossible to derive an accurate picture of what happened.

What I WILL say is that I believe, having studied the available Police files, Rogatory statements and contributory documentation, witness statements and testimonies, including those made by the McCann’s themselves, (as well as those of their friends); that the events, circumstances and situations that they describe, and which they and their seemingly endless entourage of wealthy Lawyers, business friends, Politicians and PR companies continue to insist happened; cannot possibly have occurred.

Additionally, evidence unquestionably exists which suggests a cover up or, at the very least, an obfuscation of the facts relating to the missing girl.

Furthermore, I also firmly believe that, were anyone else to undertake the same studies, they too would arrive at the same conclusions.

That is NOT to say that I believe that the McCann’s murdered their daughter or that they were complicit in any one of the innumerable theories that proliferate on the internet.

Just that, like many unsolved cases, the Madeleine McCann case invariably poses more questions than answers.

And at the risk of FURTHER repeating myself, my main, overriding angst with this case is not that those questions remain unanswered;

It’s that they aren’t being asked.

I should ALSO like to place on record that I have very little faith in Scotland Yard’s “investigation”. It is clear from the Press quotations made by DCI Redwood that he intends to pursue the fabricated or redundant avenues of investigation as previously pursued by the agencies listed above.

Of course, it may well be that Redwood's men conduct a THOROUGH, proficient, professional and far-reaching investigation. 

In which case I will be MORE than willing to accept the Yards’ findings PROVIDED they can answer, and provide credible evidence and answers for, the following:-

When was Madeleine McCann abducted when, according to the testimonies and statements of the McCann’s and their friends, there was NO real ‘window’ of opportunity for her abduction to have taken place?

HOW was Madeleine abducted when the only conceivable, (and purported), method, was via a window far too small to pass through, especially if carrying a child?

Why is there NO forensic evidence of any abductor?

Why is the only purported evidence of an abduction, (Jane Tanners sighting of a ‘man’), contradicted by two other witnesses, INCLUDING Gerry McCann himself, and why has Tanner’s description of that ‘man’ changed on several occasions?

How and why has Operation Grange chosen to ignore the overwhelming evidence of the Enhanced Victim Recovery, (EVR), dogs which points to cadaverine and other suspicious fluids/substances being present in the McCann’s holiday apartment, as well as on many of the McCann’s personal possessions and in their hire car, and ONLY IN THOSE PLACES?

How does Scotland Yard propose to assert that those dogs were WRONG, when they have hitherto NEVER being wrong  where their services and skills contributed to solving very many cases investigated by many Constabularies across the UK and elsewhere?

Given the above, how and why does DCI Redwood “continue to believe there is a possibility that Madeleine is alive”?

Any 'investigation' or 'inquiry' that omits to address these few key questions can not be called either.

Moreover, it would be a whitewash.

Even WORSE, I do not rule out Scotland Yard “solving” this case. 

It has been my fear for some time that some unfortunate miscreant will “confess” to the abduction and murder of Madeleine. Perhaps, as I have hinted at in previous blogs, one of those now deceased perverts or convicted paedophiles that the tabloids like to point the finger of suspicion at will be deemed to have made an irrefutable "deathbed confession".

Even IF, (and I would genuinely and whole-heartedly rejoice along with everyone else were it the case), Madeleine McCann were actually FOUND alive and well, I would still assert that those questions above are valid and demand credible answers.

“SPUDGUN, you’re an evil, depraved NUT!”

Just one on the many regular, abusive emails/tweets that I receive on a daily basis.

“Who do you think you are, questioning or doubting the integrity of Scotland Yard. Are you THAT stupid and arrogant to think you’re better than them”?

Actually, no, I don’t purport for one second to be the equal of Scotland Yard, or any OTHER investigative body, for that matter.

But do I DOUBT them?

Well, permit me to refer you to theses previous, Scotland Yard “reviews and investigations”:-

“This case has been the subject of the most careful investigation by experienced detectives ... No additional evidence has come to light. I therefore consider no further investigation is required."

John Yates, Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner, commenting on being asked to look further into PHONE TAPPING, just 2 years before almost SIX THOUSAND victims were revealed to have been tapped, along with the sale of information to Journalists often with the complicity of the Met Police, and 3 years before Brian Paddick, a former Acting Assistant Commissioner, took the stand at the Leveson inquiry to describe what he termed a general "culture of cover-up" at the Met.

How about Ray Adams, former Scotland Yard Commander who had tangible, established links to the Brink’s Mat Gold Bullion robbery and well known faces such as Kenny Noye and Clifford Norris, father of David Norris, convicted for the murder of Stephen Lawrence?

Or for obfuscation and cover ups at their very finest, have a look at the murder of Daniel Morgan whose family are still awaiting justice for his brutal murder. By the Yard’s own admission, there is:

 “Clear acknowledgment….that police corruption was, if not at the heart of the case, a contributing factor”.

From the murder and cover up of Blair Peach in 1979, through the cases of Damilola Taylor, Jill Dando, Jean Charles de Menzes to name but a FEW, up to the killing of Ian Tomlinson at the G20 Summit protests.

 

All these cases illustrate corruption, and sometime complicity, duplicity and invariably a COVER up by the Metropolitan Police.

So you will have to excuse me if I don’t share the same confidence as others in the Scotland Yard ‘investigation’.

Above all else, I am abundantly aware that this is a review/investigation the McCann’s desperately wanted. An outcome that, by her own admission, Rebekah Brooks campaigned for on the McCann’s behalf by using what was alleged to be “threats; what she preferred to call “persuasion”.

Such an investigation, if, or rather WHEN, it concludes that Madeleine was indeed, abducted by persons known or unknown, will serve as the official SEAL of approval; a final act of authoritative intervention, designed to STOP the theorising, the conjecture, the questions and the doubts.

In the light of that belief, it is difficult to see how Scotland Yard could come up with anything that contradicts what ‘Team McCann’ purports to be the official chain of events surrounding Madeleine’s disappearance.

Ah, yes. Finally, therein lays the REAL rub. Team McCann.

TEAM McCann.

What a team, indeed.

Elite lawyers, wealthy businessmen, Media Moguls, Icons, ‘A’ list to ‘Z’ list celebrities, Newspaper Columnists and Daytime TV presenters, Government Spokespersons, Ministers, Euro-Ministers, Members of Parliament, Tabloid and Broadsheet Editors, TV Producers...........

Oh, and THREE Prime Ministers!

What questions would all THEY have to answer, were Scotland Yard to uncover something along the lines of that which Team McCann have spent fortunes in suppressing in the Libel Courts?

It may well be that the truth cannot forever remain hidden.

But it is equally the case that a long time may pass before forever comes……….

Amy Winehouse ~ We will still love you tomorrow....

“Have I got time for a quick pee, I’m busting”?

These were the first words spoken to me, by way of introduction, by a vivacious 20 year old Amy Winehouse as she sat perched on the edge of the set backstage, waiting for her cue to go on stage and perform.

 It was 2004 at London’s Battersea Park Marquee, the event being organised by the Sir Steve Redgrave Charitable Trust, a 'send-off' party to wish the GB Olympic team success at the upcoming Athens Olympic games.

Over a thousand VIP guests were attending the event to be entertained by Amy, ‘Mike and the Mechanics’ and ‘Gabrielle’.

I was part of the event security, responsible for the backstage area.

As she grabbed my hand I led her through the throngs of people in the Marquee and out into the entrance reception area where the public ‘ladies’ room was.

No-one gave us a second glance. Although she was a recent recipient of the Ivor Novello award, she was still a long way from being the globally famous artist that she was to become.

We made it back to the stage just in time to hear her name being introduced.

This was the first time I had ever heard her voice and although I am generally unmoved by most ‘contemporary’ music, I found her utterly spellbinding, her unique sound absolutely belying her young age and manner.

The crowd too were, seemingly, equally impressed with her voice.

That is, until she spoke.

“This next track”, she drawled “is for my ex, who I loved to bits. He loved me too. Until I went out and fucked his best mate and fucked it all up!”

There was a palpable squirm amongst the many ‘luminaries’, unsure whether to laugh or cringe at this feisty young girl.

“Keep going Amy, you’re amazing! You’re a star!”
her manager Simon Fuller was calling encouragingly from behind the curtain, presumably because he felt she needed to be so encouraged.

“This next song” she explained, a further number in “is called ‘Fuck me pumps’”.

Cue more quizzical, exchanged looks of aghast throughout the audience!

When she finished her set, the applause was muted and restrained, merely polite; certainly not commensurate with the fantastic performance that it merited.

As I escorted her from the stage, she was clearly dejected. I turned to her and said,

“Don’t worry babe, you were awesome; they’re just philistines!”

“Well, you know what?” she replied, quick as a flash “I’m a fucking philistine, too”.

I never understood whether she was being just defiant, self-deprecating or she didn’t fully understand the meaning of the word. Perhaps it was a combination of all three.

At the end of the night, as she was preparing to leave, a security colleague, (somewhat unprofessionally, I thought), asked for her autograph which she willingly provided.

As they exchanged banter, he began to show her images on his mobile ‘phone of his new baby daughter.

Her entire demeanour immediately changed.

She became a completely different person from the, seemingly, coolly detached, rebellious, pugnacious character she presented to the world that night, a character that was to become synonymous with her name.

She cooed, 'awwd' and murmured adoringly, in the way that ALL women of all ages instinctively, and universally, do when looking at babies; asking questions of the infant, her name, age, whether it was my colleagues first child.

She added that she would love a baby herself one day.

Turning to me she asked, with cheeky ambiguity:

“I suppose YOU want one”? holding her pen aloft.

Feigning exaggerated indifference, I responded that I didn’t have any paper.

With that, she turned and pulled off the laminated sign adhered to her dressing room door emblazoned with the legend: “The Amy Winehouse Band” and scrawled across it:.

She gave me a quick hug and was gone.

Before I worked fully in Journalism, I spent many years in the security industry.

I have worked within many ‘Celebrity’ environments, television, concerts, events and personal security.

Even before I did so, I resented the artificiality, sycophancy and banality that the ‘Fame’ culture exudes.

As I watched Amy go on to rule the music world, which she unquestionably did, I could never associate the increasingly troubled and tormented woman with the fresh faced, zesty and spirited girl, barely out of her teens, that I met in 2004.

Wherever she is, I hope those demons failed to follow her......

Amongst all of the autographs, photos, keepsakes and other paraphernalia that I was given from whichever event or occasion I worked in, I resolutely failed to keep any of them, either giving them away or simply disposing of them.

Except this one.

I can honestly and truthfully say I have no idea why I kept it.

Only that I shall forever be glad that I did.

Clarence, the McCanns and the thwarted VENTURE...

Clarence Mitchell, (not to mention his famous Clients), is surely fuming.

He has spent the past couple of weeks, regaling every Newspaper, journal, broadcaster and Media outlet with his PRESS releases, ensuring that they are all singing from the same song sheet regarding Kate McCanns’ “heroic feats” in running the London Marathon.

The pivotal angle of the whole story being that the Mother of missing Madeleine McCann COMPETED in this year’s London Marathon whilst running in the shadow of DEATH threats, issued on a Social Networking site and specifically centred on her Marathon appearance.

Ever since the parents of Madeleine, Kate and Gerry, received a HUGE payout and front page apology from Express Newspapers in 2008 for their coverage of the case of the missing girl, (despite their being NO Court case or litigation), the UK MEDIA has been united in its sycophantic, servile and slavish devotion to the McCann’s each and every whim, as dictated by their ubiquitous “Spokesperson” Clarence Mitchell.

As concocted by ‘Team McCann’ or their agents, (including highly paid ‘Private Detectives’, most of whom have subsequently been embroiled in serious, Criminal activities), over the past few years the UK Press have intermittently and variously informed us that..........

Madeleine was abducted by Middle Eastern perverts.... Moroccan Gangsters...Saudi Arabian paedophile rings....Bosnian mobsters......Robert Murat look-alikes......African ‘steal-to-order’ child-nappers......now-deceased Sex offenders and nefarious Gypsies.......not to mention the innumerable “absolute certain” sightings in Belgium, Malta, Spain, France, Britain, Brazil, the Netherlands, New Zealand and India.

All of these stories were linked by a single, inarguable factor:-

Not ONE of them had a single iota of credibility or evidence to substantiate them. 

As I have blogged previously, the infamous INDIA sighting, (at LEAST), was demonstrably FABRICATED.

2013, however, had hitherto seen something of a lean period for Mr. Mitchell regarding opportunities to get his clients involved in any extensive Media coverage.

Consequently, ‘Team McCann’, (the ‘affectionate’ term used for their vast entourage of wealthy backers, business moguls, Legal Eagles and ‘Z’ List celebrities), must have been utterly ECSTATIC at the rather crass post made by a lady on her Facebook account.

Commenting on a discussion about Mrs. McCann’s widely publicised intention to run in the London Marathon, she wrote:-

“Well I am going. Anyone got a gun? BBBanggggg?”

Quite.

Not that it is of any consequence, it should be noted the comment was intended to be a humorous play on the ‘starting pistol’ scenario, but its connotation and ambiguity is both OBVIOUS and was intended.

Inarguably, it was a childish, puerile and insensitive comment, worthy only of disdain. 

To properly afford it the contempt it deserved would be to have completely ignored it, along with the other, multitudinous, potentially offensive posts made on Social Networking sites about not just the McCann’s, but anyone and EVERYONE who has ever featured prominently in the public eye

To Clarence Mitchell and the McCann’s, however, (along with their ever expanding army of watchers, monitors, trolls and Internet spies), this lady's faux pas was pure Manna from Heaven!

The machine quickly went into overdrive......
“Marathon gun nut’s threat to kill Kate!”

“Cops Probe Vile Web DEATH Threat to Mum of missing Madeleine”

“Sick Internet Troll threatens to GUN DOWN Kate McCann as she runs the London Marathon"

“Chilling message by sick internet troll threatening to shoot Madeleine McCann's mother” 

 The Tabloids were banging out splashes as quick as Clarence could type them! Each and every report was accompanied with the assurance that the Police, New Scotland Yard or the MET were “actively investigating”....”looking into”.......”conducting inquiries”.....

The most solemn and powerful words, however, were reserved for Mr. Mitchell and Mrs. McCann themselves:

“This material has been brought to the attention of the police. One of the posts is actually a death threat and is being dealt with appropriately”, declared Mitchell.

According to the Daily STAR, “THE mother of Madeleine McCann is terrified for her other two children after receiving sick online death threats”.



Of course, one cannot directly expect either the McCann’s OR Mitchell to account for the ramblings of the Media, (even if Clarence DOES dictate them).

However, they CAN be taken to task for their OWN musings and comments.

ESPECIALLY when they are not only wildly inaccurate, but are clearly contrived and fabricated in order to gain wider publicity and benefit from a situation they are arguing is INJURIOUS.

For the RECORD, (and for what you WON’T be reading in the Press, any day soon):-

The police “investigation” (described by Mitchell as being "dealt with appropriately"), was entirely limited to, and consisted OF, a single CORDIAL telephone call made to the lady in question at her home by a police officer.

Having quickly availed himself of the facts surrounding the posting, and having satisfied himself that she was clearly NOT a “gun nut” or anyone who posed ANY kind of threat to anyone, the matter was CLOSED.

ALSO, contrary to what is being widely reported in some tabloids, (and especially elaborated on in a number of blogs and websites created by and subscribed to by ardent supporters of the McCann’s), the lady concerned was NOT cautioned, nor was she “warned”, regarding her behaviour.

It was obviously put to her that her actions were tactless, childish and unacceptable, points which she fully agreed with, and she was happy  to reassure the officer that there wouldn’t be any repetition of the posting or any others made of a similar nature. 

Mitchell KNOWS that, not by any stretch of the imagination could the comments be construed as a threat to kill or even cause harm to Kate McCann. Not in any LEGAL context, as defined by any Statute, the Offences against the Person’s Act, 1861, and not by any real inference.

Furthermore he, (along with the McCann’s themselves), was most unequivocally and without prevarication informed by the police, subsequent to their conversation with the poster, that there was absolutely NO danger posed by her, or anyone else, to Kate McCann.

 

Which rather disparages Kate’s statement that she is “terrified for her other two children after receiving sick online death threats”.



I am NOT seeking to excuse, exonerate or trivialise this ladies behaviour in any way, but this whole affair DOES, succinctly, illustrate the degree to which Clarence Mitchell will conceive and propagate false information and fabricated stories for the McCann’s benefit.

Of course, that is both his vocation and his speciality, skills honed in his role as the Government’s Media Monitoring Unit, for both the Labour AND Conservative administrations, (ANYONE who bats so willingly for both sides of the political spectrum has to be viewed with some trepidation in my opinion, but I digress!).

AND, of course, were it the fact that his most famous clients were Celebrities or Socialites, one could forgive him his propensity for inventing and concocting, indeed, even EXPECT it of him. 

BUT.......despite their obvious fame and recognition, the McCann’s are NOT Celebrities. 

They are, ostensibly, the distraught parents of a little girl who was abducted in 2007 and for whom, (according to them), they are actively and incessantly searching.

And whilst Kate McCann’s proposal to run the London Marathon for the Charity for which she is an Ambassador was admirable enough, (as were the efforts of the 36,000 OTHER participants), her venture did not warrant the unprecedented and extensive level of Media coverage, attention and adulation that she was due to be afforded, courtesy of Mitchell’s PRESS releases, all based on a fable.

Coverage and adulation she WOULD, unquestionably, have received with photo spreads and tales of stoicism and heroic bravery galore in every newspaper, were it not for one, unforeseen factor:-

Consequently, preoccupying the entire World’s Media with tales of barbaric atrocity and evil.

AND, consequently, relegating Mrs. McCanns’ heroics to a mere few column inches.

Proving that, whilst 'Team McCann' exert a huge influence and control over the Media and even on the INTERNET; they haven't yet managed to manipulate Global events.
